Maricela Garcia
Attorney and Founder
Maricela Garcia is the Attorney and Founder of Garcia Legal Team, PLLC. Born and raised in the border community of Rio Grande Valley, South Texas, Maricela is a first-generation Mexican-American. She is married to a US Navy Veteran and is a proud mother of four beautiful daughters.
Maricela’s parents immigrated to the United States with the simple dream of giving a better life to their children. Although they did not have the opportunity to acquire even a high school degree, they instilled the importance of a good education and striving toward excellence. Coming from humble but hard-working beginnings, Maricela truly appreciates the American Dream. She recognizes that success is possible through persistence and dedication.
Having pursued law school while raising her first two daughters, Maricela understands the meaning of sacrifice and the value of time. She is committed to not only telling her daughters to follow their dreams but also demonstrating that it is possible using the core values of integrity, commitment, and perseverance. Maricela founded Garcia Legal Team to help the people in her community achieve their own American Dream.

Shauna (“Sean”) Young Gaskey
Real Estate and Litigation Associate
Sean obtained her J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law. While in law school, Sean capitalized on opportunities and curated her involvement to reflect not only her interests — but also her upbringing, life experience, and values. As the daughter of a 20-year U.S. Army veteran, she provided over 100 hours of pro bono work to U.S. veterans as a Student Attorney for the Betty and Michael D. Wohl Veterans Law Clinic.
In paying homage to her Korean heritage, Sean served as Vice-President and President of the Korean Law Students Association and actively participated as a member of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association to assist in providing support and camaraderie amongst Asian-American law students at Syracuse. Sean had the opportunity to write for the Syracuse University College of Law & University of Michigan Law School’s Syrian Accountability Project and made contributions to the published white paper — The 2022 Winter Olympics and Genocide: A History of Enabling Atrocities and the Path Forward (2022).
Sean decided to pursue a legal education after having a stellar experience debating policy for the University of Texas at San Antonio as a Skip and Judy Eno Debate Scholar. Outside of scholarship and professionalism, Sean’s hobbies include bodybuilding, practicing piano, attending concerts, and cooking. She maintains close ties and loves spending time with her family and friends and is, most importantly, the Godmother to Amajah Paige.

Working under a fellow Latina small business owner has significantly broadened my horizons and strengthened my capabilities as a Legal Administrative Coordinator for the firm. I graduated from Texas State University in 2021 with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration, providing me with a strong foundation in understanding human behavior and organizational management.
As a first-generation Mexican-American woman, I am proud to own, operate, and offer a wide range of services to the Central Texas area. These services include after-hours mobile notarization, construction material hauling, and managing a networking club that connects multi-faceted women. My entrepreneurial experience equips me with the skills to handle diverse tasks and challenges within the firm efficiently.
In addition, I am a dedicated dog mom to a golden Labrador Retriever named Dallas, which has taught me patience, responsibility, and the importance of balancing work and personal life.
My background in business administration and psychology, combined with my practical experience as a small business owner, enhances my ability to coordinate administrative tasks, manage client interactions, and support the firm's operations effectively.
Norma Miranda
Immigration Paralegal
I specialize in Immigration cases, bringing over 15 years of experience to the firm. Throughout my career, I have helped countless individuals and families navigate the complex immigration process, working diligently to secure their dreams of a better life in America.
In my personal time, I enjoy painting and practicing yoga. Painting has taught me patience, which I apply to my professional life, particularly in communicating with our clients. This patience allows me to listen carefully and provide the best possible support and guidance.
As a Hispanic woman deeply influenced by Latin culture, I understand the immigrant dream and the drive to seek better opportunities. This background fuels my commitment to our clients and their aspirations.
I believe that good communication and discipline are essential both professionally and personally. My goal is to create a supportive and transparent environment where clients feel empowered and confident in the steps we are taking together.

Vivian Salazar

I was born and raised in Santa Elena, Cayo, Belize, and I am proud to call myself a Belizean. Growing up in a small town where not everyone had the opportunity to obtain their education, my parents made the necessary sacrifices to ensure I was fortunate enough to pursue mine. I am a young individual with an Associate’s Degree in Business Science, majoring in Accounting. Obtaining my degree was not easy; I had to fight for it, balancing school and helping my mother. Due to my dedication and persistence, I was able to give it my all, even if it meant sleepless nights and significant sacrifices.
Stumbling and learning along the way shaped me into the independent, remarkable, and determined young woman I am today.
I always aspired to be an entrepreneur, and if that didn’t happen immediately, my second option was to be a receptionist. Joining the Garcia Legal Team made part of my dream come true. Who's to say dreams don't come true? One day, I will become the entrepreneur I have always wanted to be, but for now, I am building the stairway to that dream by contributing my skills and dedication to the firm.
